These budget options cater for the fishermen who can look after themselves. You supply your own food and drinks, cook your own meals and fish where and how you choose. We take the worry out of carrying extra fuel, camping gear, ice, supplies and permits. Full catering can be provided at an extra cost.

Mother Shipping
Auriga Bay II is the perfect mothership for guided tour operators or groups of recreational fishermen who wish to broaden their horizons and still enjoy their creature comforts. We have accommodation for up to eight people in four air-conditioned cabins, hot showers, 240v power, large fridge and freezer capacity, fully equipped galley and aft deck BBQ area. Auriga Bay II has the capacity to stay at sea for weeks at a time and ability to carry 1000 litres of unleaded fuel for your runabouts.

Tag Along Trips
Our tag along trips are designed for sport fishermen with larger boats (> 5 metres) who wish to travel to the top end’s remote locations in their own boats and meet up with Auriga Bay II for accommodation and meals. Up to four boats can tie up to Auriga Bay II for safety and comfort and eliminate the need to find safe beach anchorages and camping areas. Tying up to Auriga Bay II also takes the worry out of tides and creatures of the night such as crocodiles and stingers.

Tow Your Own Boat Trips
Tow your own boat trips are perfect for the smaller boat owner (< 5 metres) who would like to fish the top end’s remote locations, inaccessible by road, but still fish the estuaries and creeks in the comfort of their own boat.  Auriga Bay II can tow up to 4 smaller tinnies to many locations and stay for up to two weeks at a time.
Boats must be a minimum of 4 metres, be of suitable construction to handle the conditions of the area of choice and be fitted with navigation lights and automatic bilge pumps.

Use of Auriga Bay II Tenders
Top End Expeditions have several 4.1 metre dinghy's used as tenders for Auriga Bay II available for self drive. This option is great for visitors unable to bring their own boat but still wish to visit the top end’s remote areas. Packages can include catered or self catered options.

Although Top End Expeditions has a range of top quality fishing gear and tackle, customers are encouraged to bring their own gear and tackle supplies. Limited supplies of fishing tackle are available for sale.
